It’s bound to happen. You’ve decided on a hairstyle and you’ve stuck with it for a good solid while. And then your eyes start to wander. If you’re like me and take forever to make a decision, you toil over what many might consider a trivial decision. Should I get  bangs? At this point, it seems like a huge life change and commitment. I’m not a creature of impulse and I need your help! Whether I listen is another thing, but I have a hair appointment coming up pretty soon.

So yeah, I guess you could consider this a…

So would you help me in my quest? What do you think of the above choices — any favorites? Perhaps this also might factor into your input — in the time between my last appointment where I mentioned bangs and my next, two of my coworkers have gotten bangs. Not to mention my two closest friends have bangs. So the question is… to bang or not to bang? Oh boy, that could be read in a very wrong way and yet I’m not changing it. So there. Happy Tuesday!

And before I leave you this winter morning, in case y’all were curious, I have had bangs before. It’s just been … a while. Especially for those fuller ones. And yes, the friend pictured below is one of the friends who also has bangs now. So yeah, you could say I copy her in just about everything. :)

You should go for it, but only if you really trust your stylist. I recently went to a new place and requested a change from side bangs to straight-across bangs and they looked totally awful. Then I went to my regular girl and she made them look fabulous. It made me realize that it’s as much about the person cutting the bangs as the bangs themselves!

Very true! They recently switched me to a new girl at work and I was petrified. But turns out she’s so much better than my other one, who I thought was good. So maybe that’s pointing me in favor of them…

Love Zoey’s thick bangs! I’m secretly wanting bangs, too!

Feb. 2 is my big decision day. You have time to gear up for it — we could do it on the same day! ;)

I’ve been thinking about bangs too! Hilary’s are my favorites!

I say do it! I have the same debate with myself every so often, and I’m always so glad I cave and cut them. If you trust your hairdresser, definitely ask their opinion–they should be able to tell you the right style for your face, etc.!

    I’m partial to Model #2.

Numero cuatro is my vote for you! We can be bangs twins again!

Am I too late? Either way I’m giving you my advice… :)

I had this exact same debate before I got bangs over 6 months ago. I was sick with nerves the night before my hair appointment. I literally brought photo #4 in with me to my appointment. And then, just when I was about to change my mind and NOT get bangs, the girl just chopped them. Without warning. She didn’t hold my hand first or brace me. We weren’t friends right then, ya know?

Turns out I absolutely loved them. I just hated the maintenance. I’m lazy with my hair so I eventually grew them out, which is the worst part about having bangs and then not having them again. I say do it. YOLO (I had to…)
