Get excited, friends. Before I give you the danciest playlist to date, I’m about to present you an equation of epic proportions:

What-is-FreutcampPhoto by Joanne Pio

Bloggers + swag bags + Leah of Freutcake + Leah’s mad skillz + you = FREUTCAMP! My gal pal Leah is spilling the beans of blog genius and she’s inviting 25 lucky people to learn from her wise ways and have a good time while doing it. The two-day blogging class will cover social media tips, monitization, working with sponsors and ad networks, finding a unique voice and fun Photoshop skills. It’s Sat-Sun, Oct. 26-27 in Los Angeles (specific location TBA). So hop on over to Freutcake to get more info and to meet the fabulous Leah.

Fun factoid: Leah and I finally met at Alt SF this year and, um, she’s basically the coolest. (Not-as-fun factoid: we never got a picture together. D’oh!) Totally friendly and down to earth, she’s also got a great sense of humor and style. I’ve long admired her branding and she is someone who really has the whole personal style thing down pat. Too bad she lives on the other half of the state, because I’m sure we’d hang out all the time. And I mean that in the least stalkery way possible. :)

So onto the dance-tastic, feel-good playlist that’s designed to get your weekend started right. In case you wondered, this playlist was tested by yours truly with a solo dance party in my living room. Tried and true, it is! Also, Beyonce’s “We Run the World” is an nod to Jasmine, who totally should have won So You Think You Can Dance. Like host Cat Deeley (my fave!), I totally want to be in the girly biker gang with Jasmine and Comfort.

max and me love pillow 1

Love is in the air. Yes, I’m doe-eyed, head over heels in love with my new love pillow. I was lucky enough to win one from my blog friend Tamsyn of Max & Me Homewares who has a cute shop with mobiles, pillows and art.

I’ve been eyeing the pillow ever since it made an appearance in her Pinterest Challenge post all about gold accent pillows. She really does have the Midas touch! So be sure to check out her shop and follow her blog – and cute Instagram!

Quick note: I recently guest posted on Honeymoon Style over at my friend Madeline’s blog, Style Me Thrifty. Stop by to see some fun looks and to wish her well in this new chapter of life!

A little over a month later, I finally edited my London pictures and am here to share a bit more about my adventure. Although, it must be said that I am no travel agent so don’t take this as a comprehensive list of what to do if you’re headed there. I met up with my friend who recently moved there and we maintained a nice balance of activities. We hit some touristy spots as well as hit up some local haunts, which was a great way to experience the city. I’ll be back soon with pictures from our trip to Bath, which deserves a post all its own because it is that amazing.

Some of the highlights: Westminster Abbey | Big Ben Photo Opp | Shopping at Jigsaw | Escaping the Crowds at Hyde Park | Gordon’s Underground Wine Bar | Tower of London + Tower Bridge | Buckingham Palace

Shopping for a new bag is serious business. Fun, but serious. I search for the perfect mix of something classic balanced with something eye-catching and fun. The search has intensified lately, as I’m now a member of a new social shopping network, Wanelo. (It stands for Want. Need. Love. if you’re wondering.) No longer do you have to go from store website to store website to try to track down that perfect handbag (or whatever else you’re wanting). Now you can follow stores for updated products and follow friends as they add amazing finds to their curated collections. Need a little more info? Just sign up and start searching, saving and collecting. It’s so easy and fun, but don’t say I didn’t warn you about how addicting it is! Follow me: @sparklemeetspop.

Last weekend Wanelo sponsored the latest Blog Brunch SF and it was so great to meet the team while chatting with old and new blog buddies. These Wanelo gals are so savvy and innovative – and they put on a great party! The passion in the room was brewing, with founder Deena sharing the latest features and all the bloggers networking… You couldn’t help but leave inspired.

Speaking of inspired, you should have seen my pal Nichole and her amazing hosting abilities. Look out, world, she’s taking over! :) Bay Area bloggers, you’ll have to join us next time if you’re around. We’d love to meet you! Plus, tthere is some fun stuff brewing in Blog Brunch SF land, so stay tuned!
